Film criticism is often done through text. However, in our hyper mediated world I think this technique is outdated. Hence I have designed a visual system that critics can use for analyses and presentation of their analysis.
This interactive system consists of three parts which can be switched through by the use of hand gestures. The film deconstruction tool starts with a main screen in which you can see the name of the film and a timeline of the selected movie. This immediately gives an overview of what the differences in time are between the film, the plot and the story. The second part consists of a detailed view of the cuts in the film, where a film critic can analyse the film's stylistic choices and editing.
The third part analyses the use of camera movement throughout the film. A panorama is created by stitching together multiple images from a camera movement. To give insight into how the camera movement is utilised throughout the film.
